Eliminate the Income Tax?

With inflation, many have asked how money can be saved or brought back to “the people.”

This link from the “Institute for Reforming Government” has links to their reasonings for eliminating the Wisconsin state income tax and how that could effect each household in Wisconsin.

“One way to make Wisconsin a national leader: eliminate the state personal income tax, increase the state sales tax by 3% – while keeping existing sales tax exemptions on everyday items like groceries, rent, medical expenses, and childcare – in order to cut taxes, drive economic growth, and generate new state revenue. This tax plan will lead to a projected net $3.5 billion statewide tax cut, $1,700 per household.”
